The course will provide Induction Tutors (of any phase) with the opportunity to consider how they approach lesson observation, including preparation and providing feedback. This will be particularly useful for any Induction Tutor who is inexperienced at observing and feeding back to staff and is unsure how to approach this element of their induction responsibilities.
This course will support mentors and induction tutors to develop their confidence and understanding of effective lesson observation and feedback.
By attending delegates will:
- Consider how lesson observation and feedback are integral to the induction, support and development of NQTs;
- Develop confidence in planning and carrying out lesson observations;
- Understand what constitutes high quality, evaluative feedback and how it can be used to develop NQT practice.
